As the year 2020 came to a close, the wellness app sector continued to play a significant role in the lives of many users seeking mental and physical well-being. Sensor Tower's data offers a comprehensive look at the performance of the top five wellness apps on the Android platform in the United Kingdom for the fourth quarter.

Calm - Sleep, Meditate, Relax saw a steady revenue trend in Q4, peaking mid-November at around $48K. Downloads fluctuated, starting at approximately 16K in late September and seeing a dip to around 8.5K in late December. The weekly active users remained relatively stable, with a slight decrease from 135K in late September to around 131K by the end of December.

Headspace: Sleep & Meditation also experienced a stable revenue trend, with its highest at nearly $55K in late November. The app's downloads saw a significant spike in mid-October at over 22K but settled to around 9K by the year's end. Weekly active users showed an upward trend, starting at 175K and reaching a peak of 209K at the end of November, before slightly declining to 201K by the end of December.

Intellect: Create A Better You did not generate revenue but saw an impressive download spike in mid-October with over 16K downloads, which then gradually decreased to about 4.5K by the end of December. The app's weekly active users mirrored this trend, with a peak of 20K in mid-October and a decrease to approximately 11K by the end of the quarter.

Avrora - Sleep Booster had its revenue peak at nearly $6K in late November but otherwise maintained lower revenue figures throughout the quarter. Downloads saw a significant rise, from about 3K at the beginning of the quarter to over 13K in the last week of December. The app's weekly active users saw growth, starting at around 18K and ending the quarter with a high of nearly 35K.

Sleep Cycle: Sleep Tracker showed a revenue peak of $5.5K in early December, with overall modest revenue figures throughout the quarter. Downloads remained fairly consistent, with a slight decrease from 3.4K in late September to about 2.7K by the end of December. The app's weekly active users showed a slight dip from 56K at the start of the quarter to around 52K at its close.
